Pros:
Great fit, deep toe bed, not much flexibility in the sole---which is very positive for my arthritic toes, inner sole re-shapes a bit to my foot, warm, all season, easy on and off, I wear them as both a shoe and a slipper because of the excellent support it has, gives a "shorty" a bit of height--at least more than flats, excellent comfort, keeps me moving! Beautiful traditional trim.
I've been wearing one Haflinger clog after another for 5 years now. I'm hard on shoes and do eventually wear them out in the outer sole. Originally the shoe salesman told me not to wear them outside in wet weather but I do. It may cause them to stretch a bit, but the glue still sticks. I LIKE the eggplant color which is truly purple, not a non-descriptive sort of blackish tone.
Cons:
I order a size smaller than usual, but wear them without socks. Sockless, they can cause my feet to sweat, in which case I just slip them off to cool my feet for a few minutes while sitting.

Having purchased this clog previously at a local store here in Virginia, I knew of the high quality of the product. However, since the store was no longer an option, I looked on line and found Dobbs in Laramie, WY, half a continent away. The clogs arrived quickly and were everything I hoped except I had ordered one size too large. Their return policy is effortless and within days, a second pair arrived that fit my wife perfectly - no fuss, no muss! Dobbs on line is like having your favorite bricks and mortar store as close as your nearest mailbox. I found the actual store in Laramie with Google Earth and it looks like just the shop you'd want in your town with friendly, efficient customer service and the widest selection of quality shoes and accessories
I ordered these shoes based on the image of the shoe sole. Online it showed the image of the old Haflinger shoe sole from Germany, name inscribed in black, not the new Chinese version with the red horse logo.
These are not the same as the other. The wool is tighter and not as soft, the insole is different, a piece glued in at the heel, the color is not as rich.. The sole is blonde, not black. I am wary. Not sure I'll keep them, because this is not the shoe that I thought I would be receiving. I don't want the Chinese knock-off... I really don't. They don't even feel right.

My favorite shoes ever! I've been wearing them for 30+ years. I was so excited when I saw the eggplant color. Ordered them immediayely in size 39 - the size I always order. Received them - they're HUGE! Compared them to 3 pairs I already have. Not the same size nor the same shoe. Made in Ukraine? Back they went. Devastated!
