My first pair of these clogs was purchased in the late 1980's at Nordstroms in Littleton, CO. Even tho' I have a long narrow foot I was desperate to find a comfortable shoe that was not a slipper, to wear around the house and outside on sunny days. After years of searching that purchase was as close as I could get to my description. After 22 yrs of wear, & a year of searching the Internet I decided to replace my clogs with the same thing. Dodds Shoe Co. has a clear, nicely organized website and responded to my order immediately. Many tempting choices & the price was better than most other websites, -definately better than AZ prices! The shoes arrived in Tucson almost as fast as lightening. They are comfortable, tho' a narrow foot benefits from adding socks. I like the support and strong sole they provide & especially the durability.
Sincerely,
A. Moore, Tucson, AZ
These shoes fit live a glove, you could just live in them! I have the brown ones from last year, but decided I wanted a lighter pair. The "Earth" is a little more gray than the picture shows, it looked more tan to me. But that seems to be the same on every site. If you're expecting tan, this color may not be what you're looking for. I usually wear with thin socks and you can wear all year long. This pair came with a tag that says "washable" which is unbelievable. I'm going to try that with my old pair first. If you do wash them, I think it should be quick. I have Birks with the cork sole and they disintegrate from wet conditions, which is why I am switching shoes. Also, I have plantar fasciitis and these have great support. I'll buy the navy next time :) well-made shoe.
I owned three pairs of these slippers/clogs over the last few years. They are extremely comfortable. The cork midsoles provide great support, shock absorption, and insulation from cold floors. The shoes are expensive, but the quality is absolutely top notch. I order them in my Euro shoe size, and can comfortably wear them over a thin pair of socks. I use them as slippers, but given their durability, imagine they could be worn as shoes. I seal the cork midsoles, and they seem to last just fine. I wear mine a lot, and they DO eventually wear out, typically the uppers wear through or seams fray. A piece of advice, don't kick them off by the heel with your other foot, and the midsole won't separate from the upper.

I was very disappointed that these slippers/clogs were way too roomy. My daughter gifted me a pair years ago that fit perfectly, but these were enormous, even after I got a smaller size--they don't come in narrow. I hadn't realized that they were unisex. I have since ordered a pair of narrow birkenstock slippers and hope they work better.
