I feel these Haflinger Classic Hardsole slippers are the best ever. This particular pair was for my husband, who has realized he can wear slippers (odd marital argument). He likes the comfort and feel after a day in Red Wing boots. I’ve personally purchased numerous pairs over the years. I thought they had been discontinued and my poor, genetically defective feet, and me, were heartbroken. I was thrilled to find them at Dodds Shoe again. I have washed these, air dry. They are my daily shoe in the house. Love is not too strong of a word for them. I’ve been wearing them for at least ten years. With socks sometimes in the winter (the wool stretches) and then a gentle wash tightens them back up. They have never failed me. Perfection.
This was the only place that still carries these great slippers. They are comfortable and the only ones with a built in arch that allows me to walk around the house without shoes in the morning. Hard rubber sole wears well and can be use outdoors as well. The last ones I had lasted three years before my toes wore a hole in the top of the slipper. Fit is smaller than listed, as I wear a women's 10 shoe and the 42 fits me correctly, even though the size chart says it's for size 11 women's.
I love these slippers (very comfortable, great arch support, and long lasting) but I found this recent one made black marks on my floor when I wore them. Thankfully, I was able to return them for a different style of a Haflinger slipper that is not leaving scuff marks on my floors. I wish the maker would correct this issue with the soles as the slipper is so wonderful. I will say that the gentleman that I spoke with at Dodds helped me find another pair that would work. Thank you.

These slippers are nothing compared to the Haflinger I bought about eight years ago. First of all there is a seam up the middle and the felting is very soft. The old Haflingers were a solid piece over the foot. They wore well i all kinds of weather, and the toe never punched out. I'm assuming my toe will be poking out in about a year. Bring back the old style Haflinger!
