These were my first pair of hard sole Haflinger open back slippers after wearing out two pairs of soft soled Haflinger open back slippers over the past five years. I was very ill when I got my first two pairs and I hardly went outside, so soft sole was fine. Now that I'm feeling better I wanted to be able to go outside in my slippers, rather than change to shoes. These fit me well and were as comfortable as the soft soled slippers. The only problem was that these made black scuff marks on the light colored linoleum in my bathroom. I exchanged them for my third pair of soft soled slippers. If you have only carpet, or some flooring that these don't make marks on, I recommend them.
I started wearing these slippers after I broke my foot. They are the only house-shoe that I can were on hardwood floors without the bones stabbing into the bottom of my foot. It is remarkable since the bottom insult made of any new "miracle" material. And, although made of wool, they are wearable all year round due to how they are made. Wonderful! I started buying the hard bottom ones also so I could wear them outside (that is not a good idea for the soft, wool bottom ones because it causes them to wear out faster and they absorb water.) But even with the harder bottom, they still have the wool inside so they still are just as comfortable indoors.
I am very disappointed that I have to return these shoes because of the size. Haflinger [runs big]. I called the store directly to inquire about sizing and the customer store rep said they run true to size. Obviously the store personnel needs more training about the products they sell. The shoes, however are very comfortable and have great support. I purchased these Haflinger shoes because my (foot) Dr. recommended them. So aside from being inconvenienced because I have to return them to exchange size they are just a great supportive shoe. Again, please note ,these shoes run big ; order one size down.

Hello,
I've love a pair of Haflinger slippers that I got from another vendor several years ago. It's time for another pair. I generally wear a men's size 12. I consulted your sizing chart and ordered a size 45. It was waaaay too small. I exchanged it for a 46, which corresponds to a US size 13. The 46 was still too small. I don't get what is so off.
So I've exchanged again for a 47. It hasn't arrived yet, but I sure hope it fits.
