If you need to wear these outside then I suggest the ones with a thin rubber sole. Without the sole is my ultimate choice! I've been wearing these for over 30 years. I do throw them in a cold washer & air dry. You need to know that because of the boiled wool, it's cool in the Summer & warm in the Winter.. I'm not outside but they keep me warm enough with no socks/ I never wear socks because the wool also never gives off any odor. That aside they are the most comfortable slippers ever.. I have 4 pair that I rotate. I found that the ones with any hard bottoms are not close to the comfort of your foot against the great wool o ex and there are many colors.. Most stores don't carry the full line because they are pricey for a slipper but I basically live in these
I love these slippers! I'm partially disabled, and I'm only active part of each day, so I spend more time than most people in my slippers. With their arch supports these are very comfortable, and being made of pure wool, they breathe, so my feet never sweat! I've worn out two pairs, and that takes a long time! When it's not raining or snowing, I even wear them outside on concrete. The gripping dots on the bottom keep you safe on smooth surfaces, and they are very tough so they don't wear out on rough surfaces. If you get a pair of these and wear them the way most people wear slippers, they should last almost forever!
Got these for my husband for his birthday and now he's not clomping around the house and almost falling up the stairs. These fit perfectly (true to size) and are really such a great option for warm and cold climates and an all-around perfect slipper! I am an avid wool-lover and wish I could afford to wear all wool, all day, all year, lol (live in NC so yes, I appreciate wool in both cold and warm climates)... once my old pair wears out (I have a different style of the same brand), I am for-sure getting a pair of these.
