Built entirely from EVA — head to toe. The one-piece molded EVA construction makes the Arizona EVA waterproof, washable, and ultra-lightweight. EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) is a high-quality, very light, elastic material with very good cushioning that smooths out slight irregularities in the floor and ensures that every step is softly cushioned. It's also completely skin-friendly, so no break-in period and no blisters — just grab and go from day one.

The comfort story doesn't stop at the material. Modeled on the cork original, this sandal is anatomically shaped in the Birkenstock tradition, so you get the same supportive footbed geometry that has made the Arizona a global icon. A heel mold activates the calf muscles, stabilizes the back of the foot, and improves gait and coordination. Transverse arch support runs through the middle of the footbed and stabilizes the metatarsal bone for a solid stance. Raised indentations at the front of the footbed ensure that the toes remain loose and spread out in their natural position.

Easy to clean and contoured for footbed support — pack it in your suitcase, wear it after the gym, or throw it on around the backyard. Two individually adjustable pin buckles mean you can fine-tune the fit on both straps, just like the classic leather Arizona. Available in regular and narrow widths, and in a wide range of colors.
