I love the fit, color, and styling of these slippers! The wool is not quite as soft as I had hoped, though, and the seam on the top takes some getting used to. If you are looking for a super soft, comfy slipper, this is probably not for you. I was tired of big, clunky slippers and very much like the snug fit of this style. I would say the fit is very true to size, maybe even a bit on the small side. Again, I like the fit and absolutely love the stitching detail. I wish they had an outdoor sole, but the little "grippy" dots do the job inside - no sliding about on hardwood or tile floors. The arch support is not overly pronounced, but there. If they were only softer they would definitely be a five-star slipper.
I ordered 2 pairs of slippers. They arrived within about a week of my order. I've bought 3 pairs of these slippers before, but that was over 15 years ago. Time for a replacement. I take turns wearing them and love them just as much as the original ones. They're incredibly comfortable. I wear a thin pair of socks in them and vacuum them with the soft furniture brush every now and then.
Winter is coming and time to throw away my ancient, threadbare Haflingers and order a new pair. These slippers get better with time, cradling your feet, and keeping them toasty warm no matter how cold the floor! This is the first time I have ordered from Dodds, but it won't be the last. I loved their large selection, and the free shipping was a welcome bonus!

I've been buying these Haflinger slippers every year for more than 10 years and the size 38 has always fit perfectly. But as soon as I removed this pair from the box, I could tell that they were way too small even before I tried them on. As expected, I could barely get my feet into them and had to return them. I don't know if I received a defective pair or if Haflinger has changed their sizing.
