Bogs have a certain quality I expect and these delivered. My son has had several successive Bogs boots as winter boots each year and he has NEVER complained. These are my first pair as I needed something that wouldn't be overly thick but still provide warmth, and these deliver. I doubt I would be comfortable at -40F, but luckily I am in a climate that rarely drops down to 0F and I have no doubt these will fit the bill. So far they have only had to prove their mettle down to about 32F.
