This is my second pair. I was searching online for a comfortable slipper with a closed heel, arch support, and available in a women's size 11. Bingo! I am in the stage of life where light weight, slip on shoes are a safety hazard, and the rubber soles are a life saver. I am now retired and keep them on all day at home. I have gently hand washed my first pair twice a year with good results. They take several days to dry though. Women's U.S. size 11 is supposedly equivalent to Euro 42, but my foot wears a 44. They are a little wide because of the larger size but not floppy. Since the uppers are soft, it is important to take the time to pull up the heel around foot before beginning to walk. They are definitely worth the price; but considering the number of years wear, not expensive at all. My first pair has been worn 3 years and still has wear life in them. The binding on the heel edge has become worn, but my not always pulling them up around my foot is the culprit.

The sizes are accurate, the wool is soft enough for going barefoot, though I prefer to wear these with a lighter pair of socks. My wife has a different style from the same brand and they're still as good as new after 4 years.

I have wore this slipper model for years. It works for me in all indoor activities and the taller sole makes going outside, even when raining no problem. I can usually get a year or more out of a pair before my big toe wears a hole in it. Because I wear them 365 and sometimes all day long that's a lot of use in my opinion. They are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I am not bothered by wool and it is my preferred slipper material. They do not smell (for my feet) and are washable if needed although I have never was he a pair. My only complaint is they are not always readily available in my size. This year I bought two pair and I'm also trying out the Geiswein Andau as an alternative.
