Dodds did great, great shoe
By
Love the shoe, perfect for my military dress uniform. Dodds did great... free shipping and free exchanges. The initial shoe I ordered did not fit (too big) and Dodds handled the exchange quickly and efficiently. All shipping was free and they sent me a ready to print return label. They even sent me a note when they received the returns and notified me of the refund posting to my account. I am quite impressed with their customer service and competitive pricing.

The black Florsheims are beautiful. I had to return them to get a half size smaller and the customer service was excellent.

Very uncomfortable shoes
By
When I first tried these on, they felt like good quality shoes. However, after a week they were so uncomfortable on the bottom of my feet I went looking for insoles to wear with them. Bad mistake. The depth at the heal is so shallow that the insole raised the heal enough so that the shoe began cutting into the back of my foot. Now they are sitting in the box until I can figure out what to do with them. I was looking for comfortable military dress shoes I could wear for a long time. These are not that.

In 1892, Milton Florsheim began producing shoes in a small factory located in Chicago, Illinois. The first pairs of Florsheim shoes made by Milton and his father, Sigmund, were a remarkable combination of style, comfort and high quality workmanship.

But shoes were not the only things Milton was building. He realized from the very beginning that a high quality product was only one of the factors necessary for success. A strong distribution network would be essential in making certain his exceptional footwear found its customers – entrepreneurs and self-starters in big cities and small towns across a fast growing nation.

As a new class of working men and professionals emerged, Florsheim shoes came to symbolize success. They also signaled a deep respect for yourself as well as for those with whom you did business. The tradition continues to this day. Though the specific shoes may change from season to season and year to year, all Florsheim shoes are designed for The Man Who Cares.
